Tweaking your Website ? Bear Bing in Mind !

Created On: 05/28/2010 10:14:42
From the beginning , Bing, the search engine that finds and organizes the answers you need so you can make faster, more informed decisions, has proven itself to be very agreeable to webmasters' optimization efforts. That means that with a few alterations here and fine-tuning there, you can get your site listed at the top of Bing's search results rapidly. And if your site is brand spanking new, you can almost certainly get it indexed faster on Bing than on Google. The lesson ? You might want to concentrate your optimization on Bing first. Then, once you're ranked well in Bing's listings, you can tweak your optimization efforts to meet Google's stricter requirements.

Here are five easy ways to get Bing to pay attention.
1. The older, the better. Bing places a lot of emphasis on the age of a domain, so if you're just starting out, consider buying an older domain so you can enable you site to achieve a higher ranking from the get-go.
2.
2. Headings are important. Bing appears to emphasise title tags more than Google does, so be certain to use your best keywords in the title tags of every page on your site.

3. Text is excellent. For Google, the amount of text you have on a web page doesn't play a huge role. Not so with Bing, which seems to place a higher value on pages that have at least 300 words.

4. Outbound links are satisfactory . Google has always seemed to grimaced at the number of outbound links you have on a page. But Bing actually seems to like them--at least for now.

5. Backlinks are superior . If you're irritated because all of your efforts to get links pointing to your site have not got you anywhere with Google, then good news! When it comes to backlinks, Bing's stance seems to "the more, the merrier"--as long as the links are coming from sites that are considered pertinent.
So there it is - five easy optimization guidelines to help you notch up a good rank with Bing. Bear in mind that this is a huge change, and will take months to start bearing fruit. But the sooner you align yourself with Microsoft's search policies, the better positioned you will be to surf your way to the top of Bing's--and Yahoo's--search results.

Owning your own website is critical for online business success.

Owning your own website is by far the easiest way to create a professional online presence in any business. It is fundamental to professional success whether you are a in network marketing , direct sales or just promoting a service.
Many people fall into the trap of buying limited generic websites which are, afterall, better than having no website. At best they are only marginally better. If your website looks the same as everyone else’s why should potential buyers come to you ? They will know that you did not create it anyway. They know it is not really yours . They know that you joined a network marketing company that gave you a choice of four or five websites which enabled you to then put in your contact details and perhaps a picture. So what ? What does that tell you about how good a sponsor you are ? You are just another name behind another generic website.
Having a professional website should not be left to people with advanced HTML knowledge ( ‘what is that?’ I hear you saying and that is my point exactly ) or those that can afford hundreds of dollars to get others to do it for them BUT having a very limited range of templates with an even more limited choice of content is not the way to go either.
What most people are looking for are a wide variety of professional looking templates each matching the particular business or service they are involved with which enables 100 % content choice by it’s owner. It is all about self-branding; it is all about promoting your business ( not someone elses ) and it is all about giving you back the power and control.
It is your business and you want to know what message to get across. It is your business so you should have as much control over content as you wish. You are selling yourself so your individuality, your personality and your strengths should be allowed to shine through on your website !
This is particularly crucial if you are in the network marketing industry. There are tens of thousands of sellers and resellers out there and if all of you only have a choice of under ten websites to use , it does not make for a unique, well - branded online presence. Make your official network marketing website secondary to your own personalized one. Allow your potential customers to be impressed by you, let them know that it is not what the network marketing company is all about , but what you are all about. Your prospects are not working for the company, they are working for you and for themselves. Brand yourself and help them brand themselves and you will have a winning team. You cannot brand yourself with a generic website, you must have a unique website. Having a unique website means building one for yourself. But building your own website and having your own powerful online presence is easier than you think, even if you do not have advanced html knowledge !

THE IMPORTANCE OF POSITIONING IN NETWORK MARKETING

Created On: 03/23/2010 20:22:52
Edited By philipahern On: 05/18/2010 08:21:13
The fantastic opportunity that is network marketing is not geographically limited today. Now, more than ever , we may speak of a global village when it comes to doing business online.
Success is all about POSITIONING. By POSITIONING I mean putting you and your business in the minds of your potential buyers. The best way to position yourself is to uniquely brand yourself and your service. Locally, you are always branding yourself ; people judge you by the way you walk and the way you talk. People judge you by how focused you are. How do we do this globally ? How do people develop a relationship with you as opposed to the company you represent ?
Quite simply, you need your own website. You cannot rely on the company's website or some other generic website. You MUST have your own. Your website must be content rich with everything that is you , so that people get to know and to trust the person that they are buying from.
If your network company gives you a website ( and they all do ) fine but remember every other distributor has basically the same website as you do. You are just a name and a contact detail. Have your own website and you become the professional; the person to be trusted. Nor do you have to be tech savvy. It is easier than you think.

philipahern.com : Bridges International Executive Recruitment Group

Created On: 03/17/2010 02:44:50
Successful Network Marketers are aware of the importance of every Rep in the downline. They emphasise team work and team building.

BRIDGES is about hard working innovative and creative people. They are self starter's and they know that teamwork is a fundamental part of team strategy.

A lot of uplines have dropped the ball not understanding that to be successful, their downlines need to be successful as well (Network Marketing Teamwork). BRIDGES INTERNATIONAL EXECUTIVE RECRUITMENT GROUP is different in this regard. It is a condition of entry that individuals do not do this. Part of our strategy as a group is lateral, so we do not speak of uplines and downlines; rather lateral lines.

Have you heard the term, Go Where The Fire Is? Great concept for Firemen, but you just don't turn your back on your Business Partners because they are not producing at that particular moment. The successful network marketer is aware that everyone has potential and whilst someone may not be bearing fruit at one time does not mean they won’t on another . If you know your recruit is serious and has been from the beginning then this will be inevitable.

Additionally, Network marketers should never keep secrets but should rather constantly mentor and teach. We should pass on what we have learned and that only happens if we are taught proper Network Marketing Teamwork methods.

Everyone that has seen a Network Marketing Plan understands the use of Business People reproducing Business People. We understand that the development of time, people and money is the only way we are going to breakout of the rat race.

Now let's look at it this way. If you were going to spend the hundreds of thousands of dollars that it would take to launch a business today and you hired a staff, you would want each and every person to know what time they would come to work, your expectations regarding their standard of performance and the type of work they will actually do.

If you're going to hire someone, it just makes sense that you would tell them what you expect of them. Right? So, if you want to build a serious business , as opposed to a hobby, then you must let potential members of your team know that from the start.

Problems and Pitfalls in Network Marketing

Created On: 03/17/2010 02:35:48
am always surprised at the extreme positions people take when talking about Network Marketing. Some people are passionate about it in the extreme, yet, in many circles, you might as well declare yourself a leper as divulge being involved in it.So, what seems to be the issue? When people talk about Network Marketing others have a mental picture of pyramiding and of exploitation ? But you can't really take issue with the tiered compensation structure—almost every large sales organization in the world has that. Salespeople get commission, and sales managers get bonuses because those beneath them perform and so it goes on.Or maybe it's the fact that you have to pay to participate in it? But that can't be it—that's a standard franchising model. And I assure you, the franchise fee of most traditional franchises tower over the initial cost of any MLM program by comparison. Now certainly, there are illegal pyramid, or "Ponzi", schemes. This is where the money is all being made off of signing up other people, with little or no real product ever being delivered. But in spite of whatever perceptions people may have, the fact is that Amway, Excel, Meleleuca, USANA and , 5Linx ( just to name a few ) who have sold millions upon millions of dollars of products to happy customers, many of whom are NOT also reps. So, there may be a discernment problem here, but if so, the perception is out of line with the reality. But surely the bad reputation Network Marketing has, might have a kernel of truth in it.The real trouble with MLM is not MLM itself, but some of the people it attracts. Network marketing is just a business model, and it really amounts to "micro-franchising". Its upside is that it has a very low cost of entry, with the potential for exceptional revenue, and there are those who achieve that. But those same things that make it attractive make it attractive to many who are NOT really qualified or prepared to become business owners. The significant characteristics of MLM make it attractive to people who have not done well in their previous business or have no idea of running a business. Perhaps they have had no experience in sales; in meeting and greeting people and other skills necessary to be successful. Perhaps they do not have the self – discipline to work from home. have not done well in their business or profession and have little money saved up to invest Don't get me wrong—I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with any of these things as they are all skills and attitudes which can be learned but , at the same time, many fall, crestfallen off the Network Marketing perch because they are lacking in these areas. This may not represent the bulk of Network Marketers, but may represent a disproportionate number of them. As a result, many network marketers might find themselves overly concerned with recruiting; busying themselves signing up others to the detriment of selling an outstanding product; a product they believe in. They find themselves seeing the people as a product and what they’re meant to be selling as merely incidental.Again, I'm certainly not saying that this describes a majority of network marketers, but it does describe enough of them to tarnish the reputation of the rest. To jump to conclusions about someone’s motives merely based on a small minority of people in that group is , most certainly, unwarranted, but we must appreciate that most prejudices have some foundation in fact even if it has been twisted. So what's the answer?Education. Network Marketing or /MLMing is a great opportunity for people to begin their first business, their first sales role or a continuing, life long one. But, it is a business and you are a business owner. And if you've never owned a business before, if you've never done sales before, if you've never networked before, you need to learn and to learn fast. You need to educate yourself before jumping in; and to do this I would recommend a coach. A coach or mentor will help you hit the ground running.Network marketers who are serious about building a business need to treat it as such . Do you have a financial plan? Do you have a Marketing Plan ? In short, do you have a Business Plan ? Act like a small business owner; be a small business owner and people will treat you like one.
